Trick or Treat!

Eva went trick-or-treating with her Dad yesterday. She had so much fun, but "some of those boys were spooky." We went to the business downtown on Broadway with her friend Miriam, to the outlet mall, to the neighborhood up the hill, and finally to 4 houses in our own neighborhood. We brought in quite the booty! What fun.

Fort to Sea trail in the footsteps of the Corp of Discovery

Eva's Mamie came up to visit from California after a visit in Spokane with Eva's cousins Torin and Chelan Hanu. Suzanna, David, Eva and Martha hiked the "Fort to Sea" trail from Fort Clatsop to Sunset Beach on Saturday afternoon. Eva walked about one and half to two miles of the trail herself while at other times she rode in the Ergo with Mama or Dad. We have been having an amazingly long streak of high pressure systems and rain-free days for the season. I think this is Martha's first visit here that it has not rained at least once! We saw a lot of fungus along the trail, some of which you can see pictured here. Lots of spruce and shore pine trees with kinglets and chickadees talking in their boughs we past by.

Our next post will feature Eva in her Hallowe'en costume.
